I really like pancakes.... The way I bake them they sure look like the landscape I can see out of my window.... flat and round.. like the biggest part of the Neverlands you can always see just to the horizon and it looks flat and round as you can see about just as far all around you.
I tried to bake them spherical but it seems impossible...
Mike believes the world is round .... you see, round is not the same as spherical.... if the earth were round it would look like a dart board... flat and round, not spherical. To me the world seems round and flat but know it to be spherical, so my senses must have been fooling me.
hmm... I better not trust what I see (and hear)

I've always had this thing about cycling off a cliff.... it would be great fun if you could land in deep water.... you could also attach some wings onto the bike so it would fly a bit before driopping into the water.... I dunno, I always have these dreams that I'm cycling off a large cliff and would love to do it IRL but ONLY if it was safe... I also dream that I am flying over trees but that's not doable IRL as humans cannot fly,, that will have to remain a dream.... What about being fired off a cliff out of a giant cannon? That would be great too.... BANG!.... woooooohoooooo!!! SPLASH! what a great buzz that would be.

Mike You didn't by any chance watch the Superman episodes on TV when you were younger ? I remember having similar dreams when I was younger .I only wish I could revisit them, as they were usually in great colour too ! Alex

I've done similar to going off a cliff, sort of. When the M25 (orbital motorway around London) was being built, there was a semi- built bridge across the main road near my school/6th form college. You could get up one side of it but the other end led to nowhere with builders sand below. So, as we were typical, intelligent, well balanced teenagers , we would go up with the bicycles, pedal all-hell-for-leather to as near the edge as possible and hit the brakes. Of course the coolest geeza is the one that ends closest to the edge, especially if it meant dropping the bike to do so As our intelligence expanded further and a couple of the guys bought some old mopeds we investigated the possibilities with combustion power! As with the bikes we kept pushing the limits, until inevitably, they had been dropped over the edge so many times that they were beyond repairs. Fortunately none of the riders were beyond repair, except possibly mentally but that damage was already present. I think the worst was a broken arm. As for dreams, I very rarely remember any these days, when I do it's usually extremely bazaar and I wake up slightly disorientated, thinking, WTF was that

Actually, I love the Netherlands. Always have a good time when I go there. The only thing is I HATE cheese for breakfast which they seem intent on doing in hotels. I had a lovely 4 weeks in a place called Volkensburg which is right on the border with Germany. I was taken down into a series of tunnels underground where people hid during the war and also enticed soldiers down and then they ended up getting lost and died down there!!! The Dutch people knew their way around the complex tunnels. My guide took me down, turned the light off and ran away. I nearly wet myself. When he came back, (laughing) he told said to me, 'now you know what pitch black is like'. It was absolutely Berrrrrlack!! Volkensburg people have a strange relationship with their neighbours over the border and the whole place is peppered with bullet holes. I loved it there. Easy access into Europe as well if you're playing different European venues. (Luxembourg, Germany and other borders all close by) Jumping off piers is done every year on flying machines/bikes ... I think in Bournemouth. Ian

When the site says all parts does that include TOOOOOOBS ??
BTW did that stunt on my BMXbike years ago, not a cliff as Denmark is even flatter than the nederlands, but nevertheless a quite high point with deep water underneath, great fun.. Just remember to tie a string to the bike so you do not have to dive 10 meters or so to get it up again...

Hello Clausdk, The kit comes in many levels, if you choose the version with all parts including the tube then you get the toob Here are some teaser pics in the green PCB so you guys know it is actually happening haha The amp is silent, no noise... no hum... just silence. Even open air sitting next to my pc hooked to my zune it is simply graveyard quiet. And the sound is simply stellar! I am not much for explaining how something sounds with fancy terminology or speak, but I can say this little amp sounds DAMN GOOD. On my HD650's, this little amp is simply jaw dropping. Man I cannot wait until some of you get your hands on this baby and give it a good listen, only then will you get it and understand it is a very special little gem! Listening to a JJ gold pin 6922 right now... WOW. Equally WOWED by it's brother the 12au7 gold pin I had in for a few hours earlier. Will toy around with some others in the collection here in a bit! This is pretty much identical to what the full production will look like with a few minor changes such as certain jumpers spaced apart for easier access. Mike, you will be getting a kit that will be identical to the full production / just green. Just imagine this baby with a slick black PCB! Output caps are now FG series / ditched the KZ series as they perform just fine but are ugly as sin on the board and no need for a 105C cap in that area anyways (and the FG caps are simply SWEET!) An alternate arrangement with the heatsinks / each is a double stacked for better cooling which will be optional but not required at all. Just remember, these heatsinks will get HOT! The new chassis layout will have provisions to help keep hands away from them. In case you were wondering how much larger the sunrise is than other hybrid amps, here it is next to a heavily modified bravo v2. With the new chassis, it will be about double the size in all dimensions from all of the added components / larger heatsinks. A shot of the top side of the circuit board. All components are labeled with values for super easy assembly.

Nice quality boards, there!
US or FE production?

US production and thanks! These are the pre-production boards. They are nice quality. If everyone did not like black boards so much I would just stick with this vendor! Wish this vendor would get up to date and offer different color masks as green is just... old fashioned looking

Best let them know they're losing business then!! Might get them to pull their digit out!! We've used FE board houses for RG projects in the past. Quality is, by and large, very good. I'd like to use a UK board house, but the costs are prohibitive!

It looks like the board has enough space to fit an small stepped attenuator, one that uses surface mounted components.

Hi Jeremy, Frans.
Frans knows i love my moded G2, so this seems a natural progression that i think i could manage to build, so i will place an order on your website for a full kit+chassis.
Is the option for the 2-50 serial number only available on pre-built kits!!.
Regards Mick.

Hello Mick, I am contemplating at this time (which means I will be) offering the kits as serial numbered boards as well sort of like the old Dynaco units (I sure love kits!) They would be differentiated by the serial number tag itself. mrarroyo, There should be enough room if the pin spacing is the same. The bourns pot I used in that particular spot has pins spaced at 2.5mm / Holes are .89mm. Do you have a particular unit in mind? This amp would actually work well with a stepped attenuator since the volpot, at least on mine is not used often as I use my source for volume and more or less set the volume on the sunrise like a gain / set it and leave it. jonclancy, For small qty' such as the pre-production.... they are VERY expensive to the point it hurts but they can turn around boards for me in the same week so if I order Monday / I get boards in hand Thursday or Friday which rocks Once I order over 50-100 boards, they get affordable but they can only do green mask. Trying to price out a higher end board house for the black mask units with gold wash and have received some ridiculous quotes so far but still looking On the chassis, I re-designed it a bit for looks and also to add a sort of finger guard around the heatsinks as these guys get HOT! Hopefully will be testing those and taking temp scans with them in place tomorrow night. Will have pics very soon!

High Jeremy,
What if any is the difference between the 12v and 6v tubes SQ WISE, any input on this would be welcome before i order.
I have only ever used the 6v tubes in my G2, so it might be nice to try a 12v for a change regardless.
Regards Mick.

I want to find out what other options there are out there as well. The ideal house would be one that turns the boards around inside 2 months, but still has the low price and TOP quality. Sorry, a bit O/T, but almost relevant!!

Decided to pull an all nighter and add in some goodies to Sunrise - Added in a fuse in case of a mistake in the build - Reverse current protection in case you wire her backwards and..... The LED under the tube is now an RGB with color selectable jumpers so you can choose between 7 color combos *lol* not an audiophile mod, but very cool to personalize it haha!

Jeremy, I checked the dimensions and the stepped pot I had in mind is a bit larger and would not fit. A pity because I paid under $17 w/ S&H.
