It's nothing like an iPod; unless you mean it's pretty. The photo is exactly how it looks. In fact, it now matches perfectly with the V8 and is the quietest and coolest to touch (not cool as in American, although it is cool!!) You're just not aware that it's switched on so the blue light is needed. It barely gets warm to the touch when left on permanently. This is the best supply I've ever used. I prefer the metal box to plastic. It's much more substantial. Ian

I've decided to stop making the "Special Edition" and will just be making the SE versions from here on in. The Special Editions were very nice looking but quite simply not good sellers due to the asking price.... I have made 23 in 9 months and the SE is a much better seller.
So, I'm not going to sell any more Special Editions and have decided to make the "SE" versions with the same parts as the Special Edition (apart from the alu enclosure) and just run with them.... they sound the same but are a fair bit more cost effective with the ABS enclosures.
The prices of the Special Edition enclosures have also sky rocketed (what with inflation, the recession and made in UK) and I would have to pass that on to the customer.
I "could" get aluminium enclosures shipped in from China or I could get them to build them for me and just sit on my arse shifting boxes but I REFUSE to go down that route... I enjoy my work and am proud of "Made in Scotland" by ME... It's quite sad to think that the majority of UK companies outsource to China and we wonder why the country is in recession.... nobody is making anything that's why!
I'd rather have a go at doing it myself, take pride in my work and get some satisfaction out of it than farm it out to a bunch of China men.
Anyhoo, I can feel a rant coming on so will curtail it, The "SE" version of the Little Pinkie will now have the same parts as the "Special Edition" version and will remain at the same price, I will update the website (if I can remember how to use dreamweaver!) all ready for the New Year.

Sorry you are taking this route Mike, options are good if they move. I like the Little Pinkies in the old black enclosures.
