I've just bought one of these: $89.99 from ebayReason I bought it? Well, firstly I like the look of it.... it's got a hint of "earmax" to it without the earmax price tag.... secondly, I've got an enormous selection of 6922 valves and this little puppy just happens to take 6922's Good enough reason for buying, yet another, amp More on this little beauty when she arrives.

That's a sweet looking AMP Yeh, I thought so too Ian... it's small, it's cute and I love the way all the components are on display... I'm sure you could fit some "exotic" parts and make it look pretty "high end"....... of course, it's not about the looks, it's about the SQ but, as looks go, the Bravo is pretty nice

I think Miguel has something similar, and quite likes it. Pretty good price for a nice, new, shiny amp.

Hi Mick Been looking at these on ebay, what are your impressions of it's sound as standard. Also do you know what the difference is between this and the one that indeed hifi sells on ebay

Also do you know what the difference is between this and the one that indeed hifi sells on ebay Hi Gomez, I haven't heard it yet! Just ordered it today... they both look pretty much identical apart from the "indeed" amp using Dale resistors, ELNA caps and a different type of 6.3mm headphone jack.... the "bravo" uses a large 6600uF cap whereas the "indeed" appears to use a 2200uF (note the extra hole on the Bravo amp where the 6600uF cap pokes out) so bloody confusing these Chinese amps.... everybody and their dog seems to make pretty identical copies. Oh well..... the proof of the pudding is in the eating.... we'll see what it sounds like when it arrives. Mike.

That little bravo amp is fantastic, i got one a fwe months back from ebay and have been really please with the sound.
Sounds great through W1000's but even better through HD681's
Mike, It may take a while to arrive, mine took nearly a whole month! i was about to contatc ebay about it and it arrived in such a small box.
I have put about 90 hours onto it so far and it keeps on getting better, i switch it off when not in use as i dont have any spare valves, but about one hour after switch on the sound really starts working.
I am using this next to the bed with either my ipod or a portable cdplayer through a vary small dac.
I really hope your happy when your little treat arrives, i have just ordered another that should get tweeked!
Take care as the heatsinks get very hot!
Andy

Cost me a couple of quid, I only brought the mosfets, the other bits I had in the junk box, I did the pcb using a bit of scrap copper clad and drawn the tracks with a marker pen, etched job done It makes sense to me at least to knock something up cheap first (if its easy to diy), if it shows potential you can tart it up later (or buy the ready made thing) , if it proves to be a pile of crap you've lost nowt and simply bin it and try something else;)

I had an opportunity to try one of these amps and I liked it a lot, specially considering its relatively low price. It has a lot of power and a pass through. Pretty sweet sounding!

What valve were you using Miguel? I've gone ahead and bought the "indeed" amp too and am going to use one of them as a valve tester.... as well as my meter I want to have a quick listen to each pair of 6H23N before I send them out.... this little puppy will be ideal for that

What price do they sell for mrarroyo?!!

Mike, the Bravo takes 6N10/ECC82 valves if it's a V2. Are 6922's a viable replacement? Not sure the V1 is still available. Ian
