It gets me going EVERY time I hear it! An classic track Mike ! I love it although in general I am not that fond of The Who. Love that era Who. Moon the Loon bounces a drumstick off into the ether and pulls another out of his sock, Pete has the jacket armpit pre-cut so he can windmill, Rog bristling with testosterone and the Ox is the anchor

Not really seen it mate. I won an X Factor double CD yesterday in Blackpool on one of the side shows. Rather I hadn't. Tom Jones had a great voice though. Plus he was Welsh like you and I. ;-)

Unfortunately, not a lot of them on the web BUT the blockheads were the tightest band I have ever witnessed...... I knew them when they were "Kilburn and the high roads"..... anyhoo..... check out the group interaction..... as tight as f**k....... SUPERB!!!

Ha! Those are just factory production lines for marketable mediocracy and to massage the egos of past mediocre "stars" , so easy for the record companies to make money on those. If it wasn't for the deliberately included dreadful, delusional, half whits and staged nastiness, the shows would not gain an audience.
Remember Micky Most from New Faces? It's not a new formula.

The voice ? Britain has talent? A bunch of dickheads...... It's the arbitrary crowd that's foul, cabbage chucking illiterate cabbage heads. Bring back the pillory and get that low level theatre out of their system. I wouldn't mind turning up at lunchtime

At 46 seconds if you can't bare listening. I wonder if they even know the significance? youtu.be/1CTced9CMMk

In 1974 I got the Soundcraftsman equalizer, expensive box as it were, and tried to EQ the Beyer DT-48 headphone. My wife was using the Koss ESP-9. She critiqued my EQ of the DT-48 using 'Bargain' from Who's Next. My efforts were a fail at that time, but I still marvel at the upper harmonics where the voice trails off at the climax of "....best I ever had".
At one time I could play the closing riff from Won't Get Fooled Again by memory, and not miss a note.

Opeth "Eternal Rains will come". The intro in the song is a drum solo supported by the rest of the band. youtu.be/ko2WRkXmVOI

I've come across them but they seem a tad artificial for my tastes..... a typical example of a band trying to be something they are not...... they just don't do it for me. Musicality and competence is there but the band just don't exude originality and that's what's missing in spadeloads. Mike.

Local Legend Johnny Fatts who died a few years ago...... he was very influential "up north" back in the 60's and had a lot of followers who subscribed to his "make music in the nude and take acid" lighthouse gatherings....... a local legend up here in far north Scotland This was just before he died...... you can see how the LSD affected him (in a BAD way) it turned him into a country and western act No... seriously.... look at the way his face is spazzing....... so sad The young guy (Isacc) is his son...... It's always an emotional watch fo me.

I've got some tunes by them. I like the way they raise metal to the symphonic level, kinda like "classic rock" did in the 1970's. Pink Floyd, Who, Moodys etc.

Maybe I should check her albums on iTunes?

The Stranglers........... I didn't expect them to sound like this. They're very competent, but almost gentle in playing.

I can never get enough of the Furs. In this video, note how much the older Richard Butler looks like James Spader from the movie.
