I think people will listen to this 1000 years from now. And then some!

Sat on a train into London - follo ed that link and started watching PF performing (for it's time quite revolutionary and futuristic) the year I was born over a mobile data connection - quite an odd juxtaposition!

Here's a new duo who know how to rock it. They hail from that little island ( a mere 7.692.000 km²) in the southern hemisphere that has spawned some excellent rock bands in more recent years. Plenty of echoes from DP, LZ etc. soundcloud

I found a 'Prog' album today, called ProgFest 1994. Some good stuff on there, but expensive.

I just got the remastered (by Jimmy Page? or was that Robt. Plant? One of those anyway) 2014 edition of Led Zeppelin II, and it's a real sonic upgrade, even from the best copy I had previously. Hard to describe.... Like a bunch of crap removed from the recording. Highly recommended.
Edit: BTW, given this is probably my 7th copy (2 vinyl, cassette, reel, CD, download, remastered CD) of this album, I understand how these guys get rich.

25 Yard Screamer. No, I've never heard of them either! A proggy/rock band with the odd psychedelic tendancy type sound. It's the only proper recording I could find on YT. Listening site here

Some classic 70's rock in the form of Rainbow's stand out album "Rising". It still sounds great after all these years, something these modern, so-called "super-bands" just cannot aspire to. They were already a super band of great musicians and one of the best rock voices ever, sadly some of them are no longer with us. A great quote from Carey after recovering from cancer, "I'm missing some of my organs; you'll be relieved to hear that the Hammond isn't one of them." Another one of those iconic album covers as well.

Made up of members from other bands I like, roots in the sound are obvious but a very diffeent mood...

Some nice choices there (faves of mine).
If you like Mark Lanegan you might like Chris Cornell
