These next videos are for my good friend Alex - I don't know what type of music you like Alex, but this is the "John Butler Trio" from Freemantle (Australia). My friend Ian played me some tracks the other day and I was impressed enough to think I will buy one of their CD's

Hi Chris I will see if I can find a few of their tracks via Usenet. Youtube usually doesn't do an artist justice. It's like trying to judge the SQ of an album from HDtracks etc. from the crappy little excerpts they let you listen to. Bandwidth is cheap these days, so why don't they let you listen to at least a short bit of 16/44.1 (or better) ? Kind Regards Alex

I was listening to an original CD and it sounded good to my cloth ears They might not be everybody's cup of tea but I would pay to see them live if they came over here

Things are heading in the rock direction again at Chris towers; Just finished with my two favourite Juthro Tull albums, Stormwatch and Crest Of A Knave. Now into another old fave, Pearl Jam 10.

Nah, not going to make my old man drop all his hairs and has to wear a wig. So still rockabilly but at a somewhat lighter pace tonight. One of my favourite album which I play quite frequently as the whole album rock really good to me. Here: Well the whole album sample for you to see whether you like it. Don't worry, they aren't Yanks but British. So no need to boohoo here and show your support here. Woah, as good as any group from Status Quo to The Kinks kind of rock pop and blues rockabilly.

Elbow - The bones of you
Recently picked this up cheap from Amazon (buy CD's used - thanks for the tip, Mr Clancy!) and have really taken to this album. Good tunes, interesting lyrics and great musicianship. Also interesting to see that the band have taken against the 'loudness wars', detailed in the CD booklet.

Hi Will That’s a great album I’ve read through this thread often and wanted to contribute. But as usual my lack of knowhow has got in the way. Any tips on how to import those video clips onto the thread would set me up nicely. Take care

Thanks Chris
I can see that I’ll have hours of fun with this
OK what I’m listening to now is Atoms for Peace-Amok
The best thing that Thom Yorke has done in years.
As good as the bends IMHO
Take care

Pixie Lott - Band Aid - It has some really deep bass that rumbles my living room floor. She is a really nice lass and I like her songs This You tube video does not do it any justice whatsoever
