In heavy rotation on seeing this when I reached home. But this has all the signs of the loudness war as there are obvious clipping here and there. Music is pristine though and I like this CD. Hmm, which deloudness programme to use to improve things?

Kate Bush's album "The Dreaming", first listen and loving it. I love her eclecticism...

Aaaah, The Dreaming. Groundbreaking experimentation with the Fairlight and her first own production. I'm tempted to think this is her absolute best album (and so it often goes with the least commercially successful albums).

Wish You Were Here... freshly ripped (EAC-WavPack) from those new 2011 remasters series...
Sounds more detailed and dynamic compared to "original" '90-ties CD while not engaging in "remasters vulgaris" loudness battles. Very, very good.
Does anyone know if there is WYWH or DSotM or Wall in 24/96? I mean official release - no bootlegs, videos or vinyl rips?

Does anyone know if there is WYWH or DSotM or Wall in 24/96? I mean official release - no bootlegs, videos or vinyl rips? Eh, I thought the freely circulating ultimate 5 channels hirez DSOTM is an official release by Pink Floyd (Of course far from the fake Pinkie here ) floating in the internet?

Kagrra's album "San", too bad about the loud production. Aside from that this is one of the few albums I continue to enjoy, whatever mood I am in.
Chong, the track I posted earlier is one of the many tracks I use for testing/reviewing. I will post the 'review' tonight. I will check the HDTracks suggestion though.
Ruben
P.S. If there is one album suitable for testing headphones, "Dark Side Of The Moon" is it.

Wow, you have the collector set? Really can envy you! Errr... not really... at least not yet. Wanted to see first if it is worth shelling +150€ on "Discovery" pack so I "borrowed" just WYWH CD from a mate for a healthy "backup&archive" session... Now that I've thoroughly compared this fresh "archive" with "archive" of my beloved one by one and hardly obtained original... I think I'm very close to losing those €... So OK... In a while you can envy me. Eh, I thought the freely circulating ultimate 5 channels hirez DSOTM is an official release by Pink Floyd (Of course far from the fake Pinkie here ) floating in the internet? Don't really care for anything over good 'ol two channels. Something like official 2011 Discovery remasters in 24/96 stereo would be it for me.

Kodo - "Ibuki"
One of the few instrumentals that sends me into a state of bliss even after listening to Jeff Buckley's "Hallelujah"...

Love the lyrics, he's always been a socially aware lyricist.

Being a Japan/Mick Karn fan, I love fretless bass. Don't know who this player is but the whole song is glorious (a personal fav for years) and the fretless is just gorgeous
