Man on a tractor by Dave Dick. I like folk music and banjo... usually I'm listening to metal and house music... occasionally I will treat myself to a violin orchestral. I listen to pretty much everything except dubstep and rap, that's not music... its annoying noise to me.

"Bullets" by Data Romance is very likeable and the vocalist and the composition really hook you. Foster The People, summery music but moody lyrics to say the least. Their SXSW performances were impressive and I have only seen them on Youtube.
Today maybe more Cello Suites by Bach performed by Roel Dieltiens. Once I focus enough the music takes me away. I find these Cello pieces quite demanding if you really want to enjoy them.

Although a rocker at heart I like most music. Even from genres I really dislike e.g. rap, occasionally something comes along where thought and creativity have been used to CREATE something good.
It's the brainless sampling-everything-to-death, awful cover versions, and F-wit crap churned off computers, factory production stylee, by jumped up DJs and the like that turn me cold.
Yep, I'll admit it, I like most of the Lady GaGa singles!

It's been a slow, hot day. So I have been scouring around for new music (to me at least). I've found Adele, 3 years and 2 albums later Mr. Pronto here has finally seen the light Anyhoosen; Originals and covers, me likey, me buy-ey

I've seen her live a couple of times now and she is absolutely and completely "The Real Deal". She has an amazing voice, full of power yet she seems to be able to sing with almost no effort. She looks as though she's hardly trying, if you know what I mean.

I forgot .....
The Division Bell by Pink Floyd.
Not their best, but all of their albums get to me with the raw emotion that they show and the deep thought put into everything that they do.
The only one I had trouble with was Ummagumma, but even then, if I'm in the mood, I can take it.
(I'm trading places with Mike ... he's gone electric, I've gone Rock)

One of my favourite albums now playing in the company's computer ............. Yup, they do have Better Things, like a sample of them here, when you go thru all their albums. Give the LP a go to bring down the house like the last video which was "ripped" from the LP. The better the cart, tonearm and TT, the better the sound.

Mr Love Pants by Ian Dury & the Blockhead.
I listen to this again and again. Sheer gutsy, raw playing. For me it's a reference recording and very useful for listening for bass clarity, attack/slam.
This is an excellent album and unfortunately, his last.
I must see the film about him.
