I have realised that most of my headphones are 10+ years old and I wonder if it's worth considering a degree of deconstruction to give them a clean maybe replace earpads etc or being realistic is it time to think about replacements? The 'phones in questions are Sennheiser HD580, gRADO SR225 and original Beyerdynamic DT 880S.
If cleaning, I take it a fine brush and delicate detergents are the order of the day?

Thanks Mike
I don't know why my search didn't throw that up or indeed a similar question I asked a few years ago.
On the other hand rather than order some flats for my Grado from USA, I found a recommendation from a Yellow afficionado for some HD414 Pads an a certain bright shade - who would have thought it?
Are the Sennheiser HD 250 Linear II still the can of choice and how do I know I have a good pair please - or is it obvious?
