I've been working with some folks to make a few reproductions of the Musical Fidelity X-Cite Stacking Kits for my collection of original X-series gear. It's was nearly impossible to find any but after about a year of searching I found someone in the UK who was willing to let me in on his ebay auction (I'm in the US), and I used that set as the prototype for my reproductions ( I need quite a few of them).
Has anyone else created their own stands or stacking kits, if so, did you use the same design of the original kit or did you create something completely different?

No one here has attempted to create a version of the X-cite stacking blocks for the original Canister shaped X-series components?

I have two X-components but no reason to stack them. Good luck on your DIYing! The kit is actually for stacking a 3rd x-series unit on top of two ajoining units. So you'd be short one component from being able to use a set. . Not needed at all in your case , in fact They arent a neccessity at all, its just a nice way to display 3 or more units in a pyramid form

Don't forget you could cut these from pretty much any material, wood, plastic/perspex, metals etc. You would only need to measure up for a good fit and then use any design you fancy!

I went with metal and kept to the original design used by Musical Fidelity. I'll have some powder coated but they actually look pretty decent unfinished. The first few that were cut was off a little so I'm going to have to see where the error in the drawings are and make adjustments, but so far it's coming along pretty well. Once I get them back from the guy who's cutting these for me I will post some photos.

Look forward to seeing the finished design bostown I have a customer in Vietnam and the way they "stack" over there is very simple........ Doesn't "look" right but is very logical and does the job Mike.

I did a small run in aluminum for myself, they came out identical to the factory version. I could never figure out how to post pics here though. I may do another run of them once we get past all of this virus craziness.
