my power female receiver (soldered to board) is a bit loose requiring content fiddling with my power plug to keep it powered. anyone know where i might find a replacement? thks tim

I'm assuming the original X10D? It will be a standard 5mm/2.5mm receptacle. Most likely one of these. PinkFloyd will confirm when he sees your question. Are you sure the socket itself in faulty? Maybe its solder connections to the PCB have become unstable, in which case a simple cleaning off of the existing solder and re-flowing some new will fix it

Good point didnt think of the solder connection to the board. Wont hurt to try that first.
Think its a 5.5mm x 2.1mm btw.

That's a helluva lot for a socket. Mine are 50 pence each.

Didn't notice at first, just posted up the socket As you say, you could easily get 10 at that price e.g. At RSHave you had the soldering iron in action yet tripwr1964?

Thks all for the responses. I had the board out last night so I could wiggle the receptical. Not touching the plug I could get it to flicker on and off doing this. so going to try resoldering it tonight. well see what happens. thks tim

Piggin' 'ell! That is cheap and that's a good supplier I didn't know of. Get your power sockets from Pinky, a pittance more than £1 including post. Can't argue with that, and it's typical PinkFloyd generosity to pass on the saving
