Hi, little new to this and need some help.
I upgraded my X-10D couple of months ago and love it. Next step is a PSU project.
Picked up a hammond 182K6 for the desired 12vac 1.25a output. Hammond Mfg. - Toroid Power Transformer - (182 Series) Wired the primary for 117v (parrellel) and secondary for 12vac @ 1.25a (series)
Got it mocked up last night and did a voltage check w/ no load and got 14.85vac. Is this ok or should I be checking it some other way?
For reference I checked a couple of wall warts, one 13.75vac and other 12.85vac.
What should I do here? Thks!

Hi, Welcome to the forum. 14.85V is perfectly normal and will drop closer toward 12V under load. All the best, Mike.
