Cambridge Audio 640P upgrade!

Hi Guys,
I am eagerly awaiting the return of my Cambridge 640P. It is being upgraded by Arkless Electronics. When it has been returned and after I have played a few hours of vinyl through it I will post my thoughts. In the meantime have any members had this upgrade and what are your thoughts.

Be interested to hear your thoughts because I use a 640P. I have a moving coil head amp into the MM stage of the 640P. To my ears, this easily outperforms the standard MC input. I've considered sending mine to Mr Arkless but I'm quite happy with the current quality. Will you be using a MM or MC cartridge?

Hi Nigel,
At the moment I am using an Audio Technica AT120E MM cartridge but I intend to purchase an Audio Technica OC9 MC for my next upgrade. To this end I have asked Jez at Arkless to fit the MM/MC switch because I am a bit of a novice with audio electronics.

That OC 9 is a great cartridge.  Are you getting the ML3?
I've just recently parted with my analogue front end, which included an ML2. Never doubted my choice it really does deliver. You will not be disappointed.
