I know this sounds wacky, but i just sold a X-PSU on e-bay for the ridiculous expensive price of £214, turns out that the buyer lives in Russia, i stated in the ebay description that the auction was for UK bidders only as i am fully aware of the foreign buyer scams. Anyhow, this Russian bloke has offered to pay by paypal and is now offering to pay me an extra £200 as a backhander if i complete the deal. Either this is some new scam i have not come across before or this Russian buyer has been drinking too much vodka and has more money than sense. What is it about the X-PSU that the Russian wants so badly? Would the Russian voltage system be a clue ? I can not take this amount of money from anyone, Genuine or Not. Hopefully someone this site will be able to see straight through this highly suspicious transaction. Thanks guys. Alvin Surely they can't force you to sell it to him if you stipulated U.K. only ? Contact ebay and see where you stand. Alex

Alvin Surely they can't force you to sell it to him if you stipulated U.K. only ? Contact ebay and see where you stand. Alex As Alex says, if you stated in your listing it was for U.K.. bidders only, you should be able to cancel the transaction and the sale would go to the second highest U.K. bidder, probably as a "Second Chance". Check with e-bay, their forum is pretty helpful. BTW, concerning your Russian sale, sounds like a Chargeback waiting to happen if you ask me!

Yes Alex, i totally agree, i am going to err on the side of caution and offer to the second highest bidder as i know for a fact he is from the UK..... Far less hassle and zero risk to boot.
Thanks for your input.

I have to say I once bid on ebay germany without realising it was German only listing. I felt bad so paid and added money for postage immediately so that the buyer had my money up front. If the russian guy wants it so badly then I would be tempted to sell it to him but make sure you are paid (all the money promised) and have the money squrrelled away where it can't be got at, before anything is posted. If you manage to get £414 for the X-PSU then some of the profit can be offset against the country's substancial "Russian Scam Deficit".
