I plan to put a set of these up for auction on another site. I have the SRD-7 adapter, original headphone stand, and original manual. In connection with the Sigmas, I have read words like " very rare ", re their availability. Over the last couple years, the internet lists 4 sets offered for sale, with asking prices ranging from $700 to $1800. If anyone might suggest a reasonable " reserve " price for me, I would be appreciative. Based on my readings, I believe that I have the low bias, likely 1987 version ( black cord, 6 pin plug------all in top shape ).

I've heard the the normal bias Sigmas before, and the Sigma Pros. The latter are much better in my opinion. Both are dark and coloured, with a very heavy lower midrange/upper bass, but the Pro is not as bad as the NB Sigma and has a little top end. Their appeal is the looks and the non direct sound that does sound more like speakers than probably any other headphone I've heard (and I've owned the K1000 too). The drivers sit at near to 90 degrees to the ears and are in front of them). There was no way I could live with the FR of any Sigma though. I built a Sigma "404" for a friend too (using a NB Sigma and 404 drivers) Really didn't like the sound of that at all, - quite peaky and nasal. The Sigma Pro is the best one in my experience and the only one I would consider again as a unusual headphone to use from time to time. Very pricey when they turn up though... As for the price of normal bias Sigma, - not too sure as you don't them that often and I'm not too clued up on current prices, but my guess would be around half the price of a Sigma Pro. or a bit less.
