I have secured a batch of 3300uF / 105C rated Teapo capacitors and will be offering an "el cheapo / Teapo" kit for the Musical Fidelity X-CAN V3. The kit will comprise 3300uF 105C Teapo caps, Panasonic NHG 105C caps, samwha VA (135C) caps, WIMA film caps and UF4001 "ultrafast" diodes". The Teapo caps are 3300uF so plenty more capacitance in the power section (the stock V3 caps are 2200uF)..... this is a very good kit with high temp. rated caps at a budget price. Full instructions supplied courtesy of 5 page, easy to follow, manual. £35 GBP shipped! PM me if interested. Mike.

This is actually a very good kit The Teapo caps are low ESR / High temperature types and the extra capacitance really makes the V3 sing (3300uF instead of 2200uF). The output caps are 1000uF / 6.3V non polar (105C) as are the 10uF input caps.... silver loaded solder / UF4001 ultrafast diodes (50ns) / Samwha Va series 100uF (135C)..... all good stuff at a very good price! Comprehensive fitting guide, the works.... all you need is a soldering iron to inject some oomph into your V3 at a bargain basement price.

If anyone is undecided on this or any other of Mikes X-series kits, ponder no more.
These kits, in my and many others opinion, are ESSENTIAL.
If I was to buy another X-series this would be my very first action. Buy that kit and fit it!
The improvement is quite apparent and you would certainly not want to go back to "stock".
Without this upgrade you are missing what these units are really capable of.
Don't forget new valves are also available, or ones of different flavours.
Then, if you want the ultimate performance out of your X-n there is always the Little Pinkie power supply!

Thanks Chris.... This is a cheaper version of the Panasonic kit I supply and just thought it may be suitable for people who want performance with little cost....

I have had Mike perform his magic on a few units (X-Cans, X-Can V2, X-Can V3, X10-D, etc) and all have sounded superb! I better stop looking at this or I will have to get another X-Can V3 just to listen to this kit.
