I just saw at DIY this cheap USB converter based on the C-Media CM3361 chip (the same one used in the Schiit Bitfrost and Asus Xonar Essence One). It is UAC2 so it will go all the way up to 24/192 instead of being limited to 24/96 like the UAC1 devices (TE7022). www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CM6631-24bit-192khz-USB-to-Coaxial-and-fiber-WLX-/150856852112?pt=US_Amplifier_Parts_Components&hash=item231fc4e290The picutures show two crystals (one for each freq family: 44.1 & 48KHz) so truly async mode. Headers for I2S connection can be seen on the board (Data, SCK, LRCK and MCK) which make it a very good potential partner for Will's PK. Parts don't look greatest quality but maybe some aren't too difficult to upgrade to higher grade and there is the chance it could be modded for external PS instead of USB power. Some pics:

Nice find, indeed with some upgrade potential. I wonder what frequency the oscillators are, and if a tentlabs clock would be available.
PS. Strange, Hong Kong and shipping costs...
