Alex, that will be good time for audio as well as video philes as it will be filtered power as well as can do battery power if I'm not wrong. Any idea what's the price point for this USB3 card?

Chong I like what I see with this card, but it will almost certainly be far too expensive for most people. It is likely to do well with well heeled U.S.A. members of C.A. though.I think I will need to stick with DIY options as at present. Alex P.S. It's US$350

P.S. It's US$350 OMG, USD 350 for a bloody USB 3 with filter and battery power? Lead the way, man, on DIY. I follow your plan. Hmm, what USB 3 card with what brand chip on it to buy to mode for audio and video?

Chong I don't believe it is feasible to modify cards like that. The external +5V JLH PSU and modified USB lead approach should give similar results at just over a quarter of the price. Alex

He was referring to the closeout sale following the bankruptcy that companies selling 350$ usb cards will inevitably go though sooner than later.

Sonore, the U.S.A. distributor was concerned that they wouldn't have enough to meet demand. As long as there are people like Miguel who like to spend money on shiny toys like Apple Macs and valve amplifiers, there is little risk of SOtM going broke unless there is another major recession.
