Chaps,
I'm looking for a good Headphone Amp to push my Senn HD600 Headphones.
Budget-£200-550.
I'm in Southall, West London.
Cheers.

I have not heard Seans amp, but the reviews seem very good.
I would strongly recommend an amp at the top end of your budget where you can upgrade the PSU when you have more money at a later date. the PSU does make a bif difference.

Hi Shane, Regular readers here will already know that I am a big fan of Sean's products so no surprise for them. I have one of Sean's HA10 HP amps and I share another customer's view that it competes very favourably with similar items at 2 and 3 times the price. I absolutely love mine but do not have either of Sean's PSUs - mine is a Heath Robinson cobbled together ex-eBay lash up but it was all that I could afford at the time and frankly I'm very happy with it - others on here, with better and younger ears than mine (like Rabbit (Ian) and Covenant (Jerry) have the benefit of having heard it powered from Sean's PSUs and are equally enthusiastic. It is currently being reviewed on HiFi Pig but it is too early for publication but I do understand the initial listen was very encouraging. Jerry, like me, bought one but Ian was only involved as a reviewer. I'm sure one or both will be along shortly to add their impressions and if we're very lucky we might get a pre-publication impression from the HiFi Pig tester who I know pops in here from time to time but I will let him come forward of his own volition if he can add anything - no names, no packdrill as they say. I know, having tried one for myself, that the companion PSUs that Sean offers do take the amp on to another level but I'm resisting spending the money at the moment. Feel free to come back if you have any specific questions. BTW I believe Sean offers a 30 day trial period so nothing lost if you decide it does not 'cut the mustard' for you . Cheers, Dave,

I am very impressed with my HA10SE and think it will become a much sort after classic. It's a first class amp when used with the DC1 power supply. I have planar magnetic cans which need a bit of power-the HA10SE has plenty in reserve and the sound quality is superb across the frequency range. I think you would have to spend serious money to better it.
