Jon Jaycar has packs of 25 for between AU$9 and $10 , but that will not help you much. We are far better served for over the counter bits and pieces by Jaycar, Altronics and their resellers etc. Regards Alex

Thanks for taking the time to post some links guys. I still think we're in the wrong business!! these things should be a couple of pence each. Especialy is a machine is churning them out. I was watching the 3 axis CNC machine at Prodrive knocking out complex delrin clips (about one a minute) a few months ago. Six quid on stand-offs for my headphone amp chassis is daft!! BTW, I have drilled and tapped the last two holes on the front plate (Neutrik jack screws). So that's all the metalwork done on the Class A for now. I'll sort some box work out for the trafos in due course, but want to get some decent microphone cable to use as the umbilical next. Cheers Jon

After that rant, I found 100 off M3 x 6mm tapped on eBay. With postage that'll make them just over 5p each. I also ordered some M3 x 6mm button cap stainless screws. I already have 10mm ones. If my calcs are correct, I'll be OK with the thickness of the ally case and the pcbs (1.6 - 3mm range). Hurrah!

Even better - just got 100 for a tenner delivered from eBay. The 6mm ones were a little short, so I now have some 12mm on the way from HK. Not to mention I won some Bourns trimmers at an unrepeatable price. Enough for Will's boards and more.
