My first post. I have just purchased the Leema Elements Phono Stage which has a 'wallwart' 24V DC linear power supply and was wondeing whether the Little Pinkie SE DC Power Supply - 24V would offer any improvement? Any advice gratefully accepted
Thanks

If it's with superregulators, boutique caps, rectifiers and a large enough transformer VA that will be a different story. Btw, Leema is quite expensive stuff so there's the ambiquity about their wallwart PSU. But in the traditional idea of a wallwart, yes, the pinkie will improve the Leema as it should have a bigger VA than traditional wallwart.

Thanks for reply. Checked out the 'wallwart' on-line from model number and looks pretty basic to me

So the Pinkie should give you an improvement technically. Better check with Mike here what VA Pinkie gives as well as his output caps value. I'm sure he uses good Panasonic FC caps for his Pinkie. Usually higher value caps and VA will give you better bass and dynamics. Inserting url, here. Example,

Both are switched mode power supplies. If there is any part in the hifi chain I would prefer any regular transformer + rectifier over a SMPS it would have to microphone and phono input stages.
bigger capacitance = better SQ ?
