Cheers Lilolee, it arrived yesterday teatime Plugged in the 770's and cant say I was initially over impressed, however a couple of hours later, it started to sound something like. Don't get me wrong, it was an immediate improvement over the laptop headphone socket however.
The final arrangement (for now) is to feed it via a roland usb audio interface..there is one thing that's troubling me and would appreciate a bit of advice, namely volume?
I had the impression that the v2 was a fairly loud amp when partnered with the 770's, but it's not the case at the moment. I know input levels etc will influence it, but 3 o'clock for a decent volume through the cans? Am sitting at work at the mo thinking I need to take the lid off and check valve seatings etc, is there anything else I could be checking please? Thanks for any advice

Hi. I have the v2 powering grado sr325is. Just done the mods on it from Mike and put in some Russian tubes as per his recommendation. It's super smooth. I highly recommend going down the upgrade route.
Have you got a dac, the amp is only as good as the signal going in. I run mine through hrt music streamer ii+.
