Well guys, it's a bit sad, but here's the main reason I haven't done much more on getting my Class A and the second MyRefC cased up: Our original mower has had a hard 16 year life and the rotted-through deck was bodged with "speed-tape" and aluminium mesh. I found a slightly newer model on eBay with a knackered engine, and I had the corroded but solid deck stripped, blasted and primed. A few coats of Hammerite later, I reassembled the deck with cleaned and lubed mechanicals. My original engine was transplanted in and I have had it running today. Total cost was £26 for the mower, £25 for the bodywork prep and £9 for the paint. Sixty quid for a mower refurb that'll last another 20 years. I've only got two springs left over in the parts pot!! Result!! What DIY is currently distacting you from the all important audio-related stuff? Cheers Jon

Yes Derek, LAWNMOWERS! Aahhhh, I remember rebuilding my fathers Mountfield, it ran for many years thereafter before finally going to the great lawn in the sky. ( sheds a little tear) It was replaced by a perfectly able Yamaha (only because we couldn't get a Mountfield locally at the time) but it just never seemed as solid as the good old red and white. DIY wise, apart from more land clearing and another impressive Gehenna of a bonfire today ( at which I managed to singe my eyebrows and front part of my hair from 2 metres away much to wifeys enjoyment!) I have very little planned DIY until next spring.
