It depends how sensitive you are to dynamic changes. I feel that the Little Pinkie delivers better dynamics and you get a better sense of 'quiet' or 'blackness' in silent sections.
Ask my wife though and she may not hear it!!
I also live being able to switch on and off. It's built like a brickhouse and runs totally silent.
It puts the MF power supply to shame.

YES! Are you in the USA? I ask because you may have an option for very little money to improve your PSU and hear for your self how much better the sound is with a better power supply. Once you have heard said difference you would not have any difficulty upgrading to a Little Pinkie. Cheers.

Hello!
Though I´m not using a Little Pinkie on a headphone amp, my CA DacMagic improved greatly with the custom built Little Pinkie V3i. Several reasons I considered:
Crap wall-wart unit buzzed noticeably (specially when steep filter was selected) and looked weird on my power strip with other power cords. You can now use your choice of Power Cord (e.g. Furutech). Even if you don´t own a power strip with built-in filtration, Pinkie has some decent filtering inside. Besides, you can order custom power cord in both length and colour for your unit. You can now turn-off PSU when V2 is not used (friendlier for environment ;-) )
Consider little Pinkie the icing on the cake for your V2.

Considering the quality of the used components and that a Little Pinkie is handmade, I think the price is appropriate. But sure, it's not a "bargain" if you look only on the price tag. It's a substancial amount of money to spend for "just" replacing a "wallwart".
I have one Pinkie for my X-Can V3 and I found the difference remarkable. Sure, Mike did also mod my V3, which was also great for overall sound quality.
Maybe the price could be lower if a device like the Little Pinkie would be mass produced in China. But, to be honest, I don't know another source/manufacturer that makes PSU's in the same great quality. Today, you'll find almost only SMPS' which are often used to fulfil the demand for low prices and low power consumption, while being still very universal (usually SMPS input range is from 100 to 240V).
AFAIK, Mike has only happy customers and no one did regret to buy a Pinkie. I'm one of these happy customers. Mike is also continuously improving his Little Pinkies and he can made custom Pinkies for special demands.
You'll find a lot of feedback about the Little Pinkies on the forum. I'd suggest you to read some of that stuff to get a better oversight about what a Pinkie improves and what it does not. Only you can decide in the end if you want to spend the money.
If you intend to use the Little Pinkie with an unmodded Musical Fidelity amp, you'll also have to consider modding the amp. The stock MF amps use partially very cheap components that are prone to damage after some years of use. It's always a good idea to look under the hood and to check especially for blown caps. The tubes are also parts that need to be replaced periodically, but these "periods" can be rather long, some last easily a couple of years if they are not used all the time.

I think the Little Pinkie V3i is worth every penny and I am saying this even though I don't own one.
My X-Cans V2 is powered by the Musical Fidelity X-PSU. In 1999 it cost me £130, so after twelve years - if you could still buy one new it would probably cost £250+ and they wouldn't be nowhere near as good as the pinkie.
Mike has got the V3i absolutely spot on, the new aluminium case looks a million dollars, but it is the quality of the internal components and the time to hand make them that makes them worth the money.
Ask other members who own one and they all say they same thing "Makes a big difference"
Any upgrade from the supplied wallwart psu will improve the sound enormously.
So what you waiting for?

It's worth it. I switched back to the wall-wart from the V3i after a few months to check and it was totally night and day.

Believe it or not, I really love the LP V3. It's solid as a rock, fantastic looking and quiet as a mouse when on. THE best supply I've ever had on an amp.
I have an earlier version as well and this one is the bees knees. One of my favourite bits of kit in fact!!
