Hi there Bought a sansui au2200 int amp for my dad for xmas (should be better than the ha info amp), he will now be able to plug his cd player and TT direct without swapping cables etc. I am going to replace 3 caps on the power supply side and 2 resistors on the headphone socket, I will replace the 2 resistors with 2 x 120 ohm (from 2x 330 ohm) Thats no probs as i can get the shinkoh resistors from parts connexion in canada a lot cheaper than rip off uk. 2 of the caps are 1000uf/35v and will be replaced with identical spec elna silmic 2 The main cap is a 1500uf/50v electrolytic and is a bitch to find a decent make in that spec and cant get a elna one the same I am thinking of a nichicon kg type as they are good for power supplies, but they are £15.23 ex vat from hifi collective £15 for a fu@@in cap, any suggestions from the educated members out there He has a pair of superlux hd681 and is getting a pair of 668b so this amp gives out 10w rms so should drive both hf,s no probs. paddy
