Not much to say really apart from "all present and correct!"....... ] All 100 of them from the same batch, all produced in December 1982 and never seen the light of day until a few hours ago. I measured 20 of them (I had to pop into town in the afternoon) and side to side triode balance, with regard to specs, is absolutely unbelievable (from the 20 I tested)....... on average +/- 1% per side which is VERY good for a valve / tube. I have rolled a pair into my reference X-CAN V2 (the one that sits next to me at the computer) and, yes, these are gooood! Full of energy and pizzaz, Just what you'd expect from a genuine NOS / firing on all four valve (tube). Nice!

They're spot on Chris and definitely as good as the ones in April, they're 100% genuine NOS / never used so that's always good news Mike.

Possibly the best £34 I've ever spent!! Installed on Boxing Day, let them warm up for a couple of hours and had a listen. Immediate subtle improvements noticed across the board, but now after 72 hours switched on and about 8 hours of listening they've really opened up - no particular stand out feature, just everything from the lowest bass to the quietest cymbal tap is tighter & more pronounced, hearing more detail in my 'reference' tracks that I knew was there but just never heard with this clarity!! A couple more days then I'll be installing the capacitor upgrade kit....!!!!!

You can be one of 5 people I've sold a kit and valves to recently but my powers of detection reckon your Michael (what with the jackfrost nickname)? Glad you like the 6H23N, they are damned nice valves and precision matched which is why you're experiencing such clarity........ the kit will open things up even more (and then some) so have fun soldering and please do report back with your findings. ATB Mike.

Your powers of deduction serve you well Mike!!! Really enjoying the tubes, excited about the caps, and secretly (prematurely??) planning a diy power supply.... But that's for another day.

That's another NOS sealed box I've cracked open..... 100 Voskhod 6H23N all same date codes: March 1993 (9303) Minty fresh, will measure a few more tomorrow. Looks like yet another sooooperb batch Pics to follow. Jesus, yikes, not many sealed cartons of 100 left (I just realised that today) and when they are all gone I won't be able to get anymore..... almost impossible to find anybody selling original factory boxes of 100 / same date codes / same production batch. I'm really glad I bought them when I did and wish I'd bought more at the time..... genuine NOS 6H23N (Voskhod / Reflektor) will soon be a thing of the past as the global surplus stream has dwindled to a trickle..... an occasional drip out of a tap. Quite sad really but that's what you get when they don't make them anymore..... they become more and more sought after and, eventually, they disappear for good. I always said that NOS valves were a better investment than gold and I stand by that....... gold will always be available, NOS valves won't...... just wish I'd put my money where my mouth is
