After all moddings on the Bravo Audio I think, the little amp could do with a slightly more powerful power supply. The factory modell is 24V/1A. I think, the amp would profit from at least a 2A PSU and and also one, where the generated switching noise level would be lower as well. The stock PSU is silent but still audible. Another computer PSU I bought with 5 A current has a very annoying switching noise all the time and seems to be unuseable - unless anybody knows of an effective noise filter. I don't want to build a complete new PSU myself and would prefer any readily available PSU, as long as the price does not go into the hundreds. Is there any experience in the RG community?

FWIW (I'm no audiophile and I've got aged cloth ears) but the route I went was 24v Linear PSU off eBay, (2A IIRC) and stuck a JLH Ripple Eater on the end. I reckon I heard a noticeable improvement. Problem is that the assembly is much bigger than the supplied PSU so you have the problem of 'hiding' it. Cheers, Dave. Dave.

Thank you Dave for the recommendations. I will look up the Ripple Eater. From what a quick search here revealed, it looks as it is exactly what I need. I must see, whether I can get a couple of the PCBs, because I woul also like to add that to my DACs...

Maybe also an idea to ask Jeremy from gararge1217 if he sells the PSU of the Project Sunrise amp also separately.
It's only a SMPS, but at least it has 1.67A at 24V. It comes with a lot of international adaperts. Of course, a linear PSU or even a toroid would do a better job.

I just wonder, whether the mascots, being switching power supplies, are realy quiet. With the original supplied PSU and another one, more powerful and made for notebooks, I have audible switching noise. Max

You could also ask Mike if he has a fitting Little Pinkie PSU for sale.

Personally I wouldn't spend much on one of those amps, they're fun things but IMO not worth going down the upgrade route with. A better bet would be the DIY version some guys here are doing as that has a protection circuit and you'd know that the parts were genuine.
