very impressed with this codec, listening to music on a Rockbox iPod this morning, and now from a Squeezebox Duet and a laptop using foobar2000, some of what I have heard is really close to uncompressed wav, nice sounding indeed, anybody tried it as well and thinks the same way as I do ? www.wavpack.com

No , haven't tried it. I have only used wavpack as a lossless packaging format. Have received files in Wavpack and then unpacked them to wav. Have never played a Wavpack file au naturel.

I can't believe how good the HYBRID mode is, Wavepack have really worked hard on this, kudos to them ! am now comparing some of my Musepack MPC files with Wavepack, but cannot tell too much difference on a modded Rockbox iPod, not yet anyway, maybe when I have more time this evening www.musepack.net/index.php?pg=newanyody using the Rockbox front end on iPods will really like the sq of both of these formats I reckon, way better than MP3 files IMHO
