These are fantastic little devices and by the numbers are outstanding. Going to use this combined with my virtins software for performing more detailed audio measurements  Very happy about this! |

That looks a very flexible and capable unit. As it has USB power you might wish to build one of these to give it a nice clean power supply. PS love the avatar, such great adverts back then... .....and the real thing (so it WAS Memorex and NOT live ;D ) |

Cool little supply! Since Virtins is a PC based measurement system, it can show differences in USB power supply to the actual 0204. To note, no measurable differences were noted on their test rig between the laptop that powered the 0204 when plugged into AC or running off a battery and I will run the same tests on my laptop. However since noise can and usually will come from the pc itself, it would be interesting to see if there was a measurable difference with the supply isolated from the PC totally power wise. Also that is one reason I went with a remote USB device, keep it out of my pc and all the noise it can create in the case. That an the onboard audio of my dell e6420 measures HORRIBLY bad... the laptop itself has been fantastic however. The 0204 is a REAL bargain. They took a lot of the high performing guts of the 0404 and stuffed it into the 0202 that measured... ok and made a budget performer with some killer specs. That is one reason I actually am interested in bypassing USB 5v since they felt it was important enough to include in a higher end model. And thanks on the avatar Always loved that commercial. I have an original print of it as well and someday plan to put it in my office when I find the right frame ! |

Been listening to my 0204 for days now as a source and it is a killer device! DEAD silent and very dynamic. VERY happy with this purchase. Since it is USB / remote mounted I do not have to have anything plugged into my PC, I Keep the em-u on my desk. Best purchase I have made in awhile!
