Hi
Just bought a little pinkie SE to run my X-Can V3 and my question is: is it possible to run an additional unit with this power suply, such as an X-Dac V3? Little pinkie has more VA than the MF X-PSU V3 (30VA vs 20VA) and MF X-PSU can run four units. So for example, if I parallel connect two cables out, instead of one, would this be possible and without any negative inpact on the sound?

I know Mike use to make a Little Pinkie for the V1 and V2 which could power two units. However, your best bet would be to email Mike. If possible who will make your pigtail?

The MF X-PSU has an 80VA transformer with four 20VA outputs (four secondaries, each one 20VA).
The Little Pinkie has one 30VA output, The Pinkie for v3 / v8 has a centre tapped output 12-0-12V (24VCT) and the pinkie for v1 / v2 has a 12V output.
With the V1 / V2 Pinkie you can configure it to have 2 x 12V secondaries @ 15VA each or one 12V secondary @ 30VA.
I don't recommend feeding 2 components from ONE centre tapped secondary, so the answer is no, I don't recommend it.
Hope this helps,
Mike.

I agree with Mike. There WILL be a negative impact on the sound quality if you run more than one piece of equipment from it, VA capabilities notwithstanding. Alex.

Johan.... you are still under the incorrect assumption that the Musical Fidelity X-PSU V3 has a 20VA transformer, it doesn't.
The MF X-PSU V3 has one 80VA transformer with 4 secondaries.... each secondary is capable of 20VA.
The Pinkie has one transformer / one output. It outputs 30VA.
