X-can V2 + Siemens[tesla] + HD 600 KrisNo rant

Today and yesterday I experienced so far the best the V2 has given me. It really was true, after a 100hours break-in the Siemens[tesla] tubes turn into something fantastic.

They are still less bassy than russians, but with the bassy HD 600 headphone, that is OK. They are musical on a different level and the hollowness is no more. Actually the rough sound has dissapeared totally. The V2 has never been better.

I just wanted to say that the cheap Siemen tubes with HD 600 is something quite nice. But it still screams a little at you. The V2 I mean.

I read all the threads regarding V1-V2 since 2005 on this forum today. I think in general I would be happy with the V2 if I had LP as source... but since I have computer I think I should sell this and try the V1.. I dont think that "less is more" always. Some of the best amps have alot of components in them. Look at Classe and Mark Levinson! ... and there you have the V1 vs V2/V3 also. The V1 is packed to the hilt with lots of nice stuff

But people with V2 should try the Siemens[tesla] tube and loop it for 100hours. Then you will be in for something very nice and smooth and musical. It is really what the doctor orderd for the V2, and if you have a source on the dark side, you really are set.

I told you in an email to leave the v2 with the siemens/tesla tubes
turned on 24/7 for 3 weeks solid, now you are stating that they
sound good after 100 hours, you should now leave them on forever
and they will sound good 99% of the time as the amp was designed
to be left on pemanately.
I told you this info weeks ago kris and you did not take heed of what
i said, you need to be more patient (no pun intended) otherwise you
will just be running round like a chicken with no head.
JUST LEAVE IT TURNED ON 24/7 FOR THE NEXT 2 WEEKS AND IF YOU
DO NOT LIKE IT, TRY CHANGING THE SOURCE AS SOMEONE POINTED OUT TO YOU EARLIER.
