I know that quite a few X-CAN V1 boards were fitted into V2 enclosures and sold as V2's.

Ian I recently told one guy, who found he had a V1 board in a V2 enclosure, to complain to MF.... he did and they gave him a brand new V8 claiming it must have been a "mistake"..... erm..... since then I have seen about another ten V1's in V2 enclosures, I just wonder how many are actually out there

Actually, knowing what I know now, I wouldn't have wanted a V8 as a replacement. I'd have been happy with a V1 as well!! I suppose it's just the thought of paying for a V2 and getting a V1, but you're possibly getting a better sounding amp in any case. Ian
