Claus, do you have a branch of Ann Summers over there? Ian I do live near the german border and Denmark is one of the most liberal contries in the world, so in the next town (1700 people) there is 7 stores, that sell adulttoys and other funny things ;D ;D ;D So we are well stocked in that area ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

Yes, I've heard that the Danes are well stocked. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) This time next year, you could be a millionaire. ![:-X](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/lipssealed.png) Btw, they are looking really good too. Ian

This time next year, you could be a millionaire. ![:-X](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/lipssealed.png) Btw, they are looking really good too. Ian I do not do those kind of leather things (only for household use ![:-*](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/kiss.png) ) And the competition are really tough, but maybe I should look into it, some of those toys goes for obsene prices and the S/M crowd does not care if they have to pay through the roof ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) I actually think that the newest one are the prettiest by far, but that is also because I do get better at it ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) The downside to the new material is that it is close to impossible to make something extravagant out of it, embossing/imbossing and such is impossible The real Leather that Frans sent me was way better in that aspect The fact that I can get "rid" of it makes it much more fun, if I only did one for myself the devolopment would stop quite fast I also rather pay 2£ to send it of, than just throwing things out, which would be option nr 2..and I hate throwing things out.. BTW yours will be made this weekend ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

@ Claus, Thanks for changing my old jacket into something usuable again. a great way to recycle stuff like that. Here are before and after piccas.. before (the MF-681) ![](http://i837.photobucket.com/albums/zz296/solderdude/MF-681.jpg) after (the MCF-681) ![](http://i837.photobucket.com/albums/zz296/solderdude/MCF-681.jpg) Note the differences: MF681 has VanDamme cable and Amphenol 6.3 plug and original headband MCF681 has crappy skytronics cable with Neutrik 3.5mm + converter and Claus's leather headband. Yeah yeah the angle, lighting, position and background have changed too.

Claus, The Leather Headband and piece of "Santa Beard" have arrived thanks... very nice work ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) I will try them out whenever I get a chance over the next couple of days. The leather feels so much softer than the plastic band that's fitted as standard so it's sure to be a big improvement in comfort, cheers. Dave

Frans/Dave Glad your headbands have arrived, I look very much forward to hear what you think of them in use.. It can be a bit irritating to get the long hole on the phones, but do not worry it will not break, of a bit of violence ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/shocked.png) The new "batch" are even softer, with about 1-2mm padding because of the fabric on the backside of the skin.. As a bonus it is easier to work with also ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) I hope to get the time to make some this evening, but I am gonna escape some hours, my wonderfull kid has been a pest all day ;D ;D ;D So I need to have a timeout ![>:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/angry.png)

Looks good, but that backside annoys the H... out of me.. It is not pretty enough, but it does get better for each band I make, I am actually quite happy with the last one.. Believe it or not ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) If the band gets dull and boring (maybe green ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) )in looks just give it a good rub with some black shoecream. Frans has been so wild on his bike that there are some green colour getting though some places ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) Please drive safer in the future ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) I have covered it with a black marker, to make it much less visible ![:-X](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/lipssealed.png)

I presume this also helps to cover those grey hairs as well ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) PS Clause the leather head band looks brilliant excellent work The headphones look way classy ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png)

claus now I don't know how exactly you are fitting/ finishing the back as you call it. but u say its not "pretty' enough. the first thing that came to my mind is an over lap and cut like you would for laying vinyl flooring. would give a picture perfect joint. IF you can cut through both layers of leather that is. glue it around as you normally do but when comes to back leave extra half inch over lap or so then cut. not sure if its doable with the leather but just trying to help. or turn the whole band over top is now against head smooth bottom . use a thin strip of leather across top to "clean up" the rough edges., it can go from hole to hole on the band. anywho, just thinking. all the best, peace ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

I have tried the second thing but it adds to much thickness and the bands does not move freely, when it is adjusted to the headsize.. I have made some changes in the design. Instead of pulling the leather over the edges of the plastic, I just glue it on and cut to size, I know it is kind of a cheat, but it looks much better that way and the ends are not seen anyway, so who cares ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) I have also made the narrowing straith instead of a rounded curve, then I do not have to force the material to work against itself.. Dave's headband are made like that, as the first and I think it is a succes ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) The backside has become much better looking, if you look on the latest edition you will see what I mean ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) Thanks for your thoughts I really appreciate it and you were kind of a katalysator in doing this, with your PM about paying it forward, not saying that I would not have done it anyway, but you did speed up the proces a bit.. So remember to send The man of peace a friendly thougth.. Peace man.. BTW Have you thougth about cutting your wonderfull jacket up and ship it via surface, that should keep the shipping price lower.. Just remember to keep the pieces as large as possible, if it has a lot of pieces joined with sewings it is not useable, the pieces need to be at least twice as big as the headband, so that I can be made in one piece.. I would also like smaller pieces for other small project I am contemplating.. But that is a different story.. The smaller pieces can also be used as beyer headbands..

OK time for some animation.. ![](http://lh3.ggpht.com/_b5AAIlFTnzk/S6lE8ZL4sdI/AAAAAAAAB50/bdfYNtZqMvk/s640/PICT0865.JPG) ![](http://lh6.ggpht.com/_b5AAIlFTnzk/S6lE831NGzI/AAAAAAAAB54/SSrME8pcR1I/s640/PICT0866.JPG) ![](http://lh6.ggpht.com/_b5AAIlFTnzk/S6lE9pTarnI/AAAAAAAAB6A/ZYuQAVfFS50/s640/PICT0867.JPG) ![](http://lh5.ggpht.com/_b5AAIlFTnzk/S6lE-EjPA_I/AAAAAAAAB6E/zNYsH_JjqYM/s640/PICT0868.JPG) Would this be the right way to go ?? I am going to sew it inside and give it a piece of a suitcase cut like the "top-donut", thick heavy leather at the bottom to dampen the cup by absorbing vibrations, it also adds some very nice balanced weigth to the cups to hold them down. ;D ;D I will also make the soft leather, cover the thick leather so that it will act as a sealant, between the cup and pad.. Give me your thoughts, some inspiration, input, tips, tricks anything. This is for Beyer-models.. I am thinking about padding them with that foam úsed in madrasses , that takes shape after the body and stay cold.. But it is fcking expensive..

this hole or that hole would be determined by the cans. oval or round. I guess you would have to do both and once dimensions are known sewing them should be exactly the same . and by the way that inside stitching rings a bell hehe that looks tons better to my eye than ANY kind of outside stitching on other earpads I've seen. you get my vote on that fo sho

My cable is blue-like Chaz's so I think a blue leather head band would look cool. Had a look around the local charity shops this weekend but not spotted anything up to now. In fact leather doen't figure very much in the second hand shops. Still I'll keep on checking, if anyone spots something let me know.....

In fact leather doen't figure very much in the second hand shops. Still I'll keep on checking, if anyone spots something let me know..... I will look for some, I will go "hunting" this week, I have just been a bit bust the last week.. I have a black one that just needs holes that I could send you, it was my intent to surprice you (yes I did read your post).. But then again this could also count as a surprice ;D ;D ;D I have also thougt about how to make theese bands reach "the public", as I am quite happy with the latest ones I did, have not shipped any off them yet but Mick and Ian will get them next week.. The hard part is figuring out a prize for them, I will still do the freebees for people who exell in their posts and/or are helping others ...(my way of giving back to the forum).. But I do not mind making more, but it is timeconsuming an hour a piece apr. sometime more sometime less, the materials are not expensive. Then again I have no wish to sit gluing and working all day long for nothing.. So I would like to ask what would be a fair price ?? I also need Mike's approval for this, as it is his forum and not my marcketplace ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) I have also thougth about making no prize and just let people give me a donation on paypal of their own choice.. Let me get some inputs.. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png)

Thanks Claus-an English expression that fits well is that you are a good 'un. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) Pass the black leather one on to the next person on the list and I will carry on looking for a piece of blue leather if thats ok. If I can't find one in a couple of weeks then a black one will do fine. The idea of a Paypal donation seems like a good one to me.

Hi Claus, I moved the washing machine out today as I dropped a screwdriver behind it and what did I find there? A package from Denmark!..... the postman never knocks, he just enters the house from the back door and leaves packages on the washing machine.... it must have fallen down.... Anyhow.... long story short...... your headband has arrived ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) Many thanks, I will fit it as soon as my HD-681 return from Colin (he has them on demo) Mike.

Well that is up to the reciever to decide ;D ;D, I will go with the "donate what you want option" just to se if it can work. They have come a far way since the first pieces, softer and prettier.. So I am now open for orders, just send me a PM.. I am not good with deadlines and such, so I will send a PM, when they are in the mail.. I got material for 6 bands at the moment. After that I will go get me some jackets, is other colours than black a good idea ??
