I'd have to say the cables that Paddy pointed to seem reasonable given the what's charged, although Bluejeans are also great value as well without being OTT like many cable makers. I have to add that the deoxit product is also something that I find useful, I'm not saying it'll make magic happen but it reduces problems with connectivity of plugs and sockets and thus improves reliability my 2 bobs worth Robert

Miguel I would be looking for something far less obvious. I would suggest that if you haven't done so all ready, to thoroughly clean those plugs with isopropyl alcohol or other proprietary fluid, as well as perhaps inside the RCA sockets with a cotton bud or 2 dipped in a small amount of Isopropyl as well.It may be thermally related due to metal contacts contraction/expansion. Alex Alex, I took the amps in question to a meet a few weeks ago. So the plugs were unplugged, then plugged, then unplugged, then plugged, then unplugged, and finally plugged. If 6 cycles of unplugging and plugging did not clean the plugs no amount of alcohol would help. Miguel If you are in the habit of regularly plugging in and plugging out with the same piece of equipment for demo purposes, I would recommend that you replace those RCA sockets occasionally, as the inner contact of the socket will lose it's tension and go intermittently high resistance before finally there is no sound. As I do quite a bit of modifications involving this kind of action, I have had more than a dozen quality RCA sockets suffer this fate over the years. You do not want it to happen while you are doing demos at a show . Alex

Miguel This is about the best thing that i know of for cleaning plugs etc. www.caig.com/ And it,s an american company. regards paddy I have used it for many years and find that it's not much different from this cheapo ......... The Philips could be an alternative for those "rougher" cleaning ........
