Except for the PowerPC, I agree. The PPC were real workhorses, modern minicomputer workstations. They had the option of OS9 on top of OSX, all of the users old apps still ran (and run today!).
My G4 still runs strong although I did change 4 of the 6 fans to quieter versions...........
