Hi Miguel
I read on a another hf forum you had used tesla e88cc gold pin in
your xcan v3, i am thinking of buying a pair of these or the mullard
equivelent for my xcan v2, could you tell me what the sound quality
was like with them please.

Hi Paddy, the pair I have has very nice mids and upper mids. However the bass does not have the impact of the Russian 6H23-EB. The treble is detailed and mellow.

How much are they asking for the pair?

They are £25 a pair and the mullard e88cc old label are £40 a pair
and mullard e188cc are £35.

The tesla e88cc gold pin have yellow writting on them with the
number 32 and made in czechoslovakia, they are £12.50 each.
The mullard e88cc have white writing on them with the old style
mullard logo, they are £20 each.
They also have mullard e188cc/7308 with no mullard logo on them,
they are steel pin, with white writing, they are £17.50 each, the
e188cc/7308 are supposed to be the best for low noise and low
microphonics, how well they work in the v2 i dont know as the v2
was set up to work with the jan/phillips 6922.
mikey pink floyd has already told it how it is, has anyone else got
any experience with the said valves.

Got the valves today, test them when i get a chance.
Looked at my old stock valves i pulled out the v2, they have
ecc88/6jd8 on them, would i be right in thinking these are not as
good as the e88cc/6922.

The Tesla I have sport the yellow/gold lettering and they sound OK but I prefer the Russian 6H23-EB I got from Mike. Here is a picture of my Tesla valves.
