Hi Paddy, the pair I have has very nice mids and upper mids. However the bass does not have the impact of the Russian 6H23-EB. The treble is detailed and mellow.
How much are they asking for the pair?

Miguel The tesla e88cc gold pin have yellow writting on them with the number 32 and made in czechoslovakia, they are £12.50 each. The mullard e88cc have white writing on them with the old style mullard logo, they are £20 each. They also have mullard e188cc/7308 with no mullard logo on them, they are steel pin, with white writing, they are £17.50 each, the e188cc/7308 are supposed to be the best for low noise and low microphonics, how well they work in the v2 i dont know as the v2 was set up to work with the jan/phillips 6922. mikey pink floyd has already told it how it is, has anyone else got any experience with the said valves. regards paddy

Oh yes but I will leave it up to Miguel as you seem to crave his opinion.
Mike.

Got the valves today, test them when i get a chance. Looked at my old stock valves i pulled out the v2, they have ecc88/6jd8 on them, would i be right in thinking these are not as good as the e88cc/6922. paddy

The Tesla I have sport the yellow/gold lettering and they sound OK but I prefer the Russian 6H23-EB I got from Mike. Here is a picture of my Tesla valves.
