Will be with you Tuesday or Wednesday Mick. Not exactly my pride and joy but it's my current "best in house" headphone amp..... I chop and change like the weather...... My modded WNA MKlll would give it a run for it's money, I'm sure, but I just can't look at that amp (let alone listen to it) after the bad vibes I got from David White when I pulled out of buying his "non ROHS" business ( he tried to sell me £25,000 worth of LEAD).... anyways, don't want to go there..... Do you want me to wire the On/Off switch up Mick? I've been using it as "always on" (or pull the plug) duty as I thought the AC wiring running alongside the board was adding interference (it wasn't, it was the phono sockets that were making contact with the enclosure)..... It will take me 10 minutes to rewire the ON / OFF switch if you like? Personally, I keep her on all the time.... let those valves roast..... so the amp is always in a "ready to go" state..... Anyways, enough waffling.... I will get her out to you on Monday.... enjoy the music Mike.

I've had a couple of those attenuators Mike, one went in my AK SCHA to replace the Alps Blue, its superb value for money. He wasn't offering those lovely knobs at that time though but seeing this I went on tonight and he does two for £10 incl P&P, they'll be just the thing for my Buffalo.

Syd Syd, Agreed, the attenuators are superb VFM..... the knobs are the icing on the cake.... well worth 5 x the asking price.... solid / heavy and beautifully machined.... I got two, as a mistake, will be happy to send you the extra one FOC to save you buying two.... remind me of your details and I'll get one in the post pronto... Mike.

Personally i would recommend you send it at the start of the week rather than the end Mike, why? because i don`t like things like this laying around distribution centres over the weekend, if you get my drift.

Mick..... get ready to hear what a REAL amp can do Give her a GOOD 4 hour warm up and prepare to spend a good 12 hours strapped onto your headphones thereafter...... this is one seriously good music maker, no other way of saying it..... get ready to strap yourself in mate.... you are in for one helluva sonic ride Pinkie.

The asking price is about right, certainly NOT worth 5 times that!!! Your "typical" boutique price would be £20 (at least) for a knob of this stature. Mike.

I think we are all spoilt here..... used to bargain basement pricing..... forgotten how it used to be before the advent of Rock Grotto (and similar venues)..... it was a fckin' rip off!

Agreed, but that would be a rip off Mike, they are produced in the hundreds, possibly thousands on CNC lathes, in about 15seconds at around, £1.50 each, the material cost, would be £1 of that. Allowing the middle men a piece of the action. £8 at the very most to punters on a 1-2 off basis.

Syd Syd Mine came with one of those lovely stainless steel knobs. Boy, are they heavy ! It's a shame they don't match the type of 1U rack case that I am presently using. Alex

Mine haven't arrived yet Alex, I'm going to use them for the input/output rotary switches I'm fitting to the Buffalo. That and hopefully a nicer new front panel since I drilled the holes in the wrong place Syd

Hi Mike, I haven’t got it yet, the seller says he will post it on Monday. I will post some under the bonnet pics here of it if that’s ok with you?. I would very much like your opinion as best as you can from a picture of its construction. I will let you know how it sounds. and I will check out the valves.
