Having owned a Musical fidelity X-can V3 with standard wall wart PSU for some years now, using it with Grado SR-60s. Yes a bit basic, but this has given me many hours of musical enjoyment. I am ready for some serious upgrading. That’s how I rediscovered the Rock Grotto. I found this web site many years ago; unfortunately I had a hard drive failure and so lost my entire favorite bookmarks (always backup now) so forgot about the Rock Grotto, shame on me. I always wanted an xps but at £250 seemed a bit much, alright if you had several X components to power but a single x-can not such good value. And in good old MF tradition things have moved on to V8 status (£300). And the new box is not an exact match for my V3. So I thought there must be something suitable at reasonable cost out in cyber space hence my rediscovery of the Grotto. And Mike has also moved on since those early days great mods for the V3 and now the Little Pinkie. So early next year I will order a Little Pinkie PSU from Mike, next the full upgrades for the x-can v3 including ceramic valve basis as I intend to do some tube rolling. And lastly a set of new headphones
