Possible to remove DAC chip in X-CanV8P?

Hi all,
Is it at all possible to fit a new DAC chip in my X-CanV8P? I would like to upgrade that section if it. I think the DAC is decent, but lacking a bit. I use my PC mostly, but don't want to spend all my money on a new DAC as I'm saving up for a MF X-Ray CD Transport.
Perhaps Mike can chime in on this matter?
