I personally would not use a tube DAC as the S/N (and bandwidth ?) , is more than likely far below that of a comparable SS design.

Feel exactly the same about that. S/N of my MHDT Paradisea+ is nowhere near CA Dacmagic's quietness. Not sure about bandwidth though... those tube injected harmonics must have something with that...

24/96 on a NOS dac ?

Well, yes. Paradisea has CS8414 SPDIF receiver and can go 24/96 (through SPDIF - not USB). In fact it sounds "cleaner" when foobar upsamples normal CD quality music.

But although Paradisea is fun and non fatiguing DAC - CA DacMagic made me realize I am definitely a SS kind of guy (not in a Nazi kind of way ).
