Do me a favor and buy this half working Darkvoice 3322 amplifier before it gets hurled out the window! Functions and all valves light up beautifully except no audio comes through the right channel (except very slightly at full volume). Have tried several sets of valves and the problem is the same. Taking the lid off reveals no obvious loose connections though the problem is probably minor and should be easy for someone more tech minded than me to test and fix. As well as the stock Chinese tubes, I will throw in some NOS CV4010 and Ulyanovsk tubes.. Please click on pics to enlarge! £199? or maybe a swap for something working..

Its still available. Cash would be ideal but I'm open minded
More ideas about possible swaps. What I am really after:
* Some working Grado 325i cans
* Some working new style Sennheiser HD650 cans

Its still available. Problem is probably just one loose connection in the right small tube socket. Its slightly more that half working as the rights side still powers up both valves OK. Once fixed, it would be be ideal partner for HD600 / 650 cans. Would still consider a swap for something useful. What would be great is for someone to put me together a casing solution for my Buffalo Sabre 32s DAC project as my casing skills are not good..I am considering buying a dacmagic 1 or 2 just for the chassis (and possibly its transformers) but this would not really be ideal.. The 3322 internals:

Hi Mike I know its not. It's sort of the truth though.. DV appear to be having some minor QC issues, because of which I am stuck with this 3322 boat anchor, an even bigger 337 with a dodgy left channel and two slightly dodgy 336 classics (popping noises on the audio & loose volume pots. DV have not been helpful in resolving the issues and have declined to offer me any money back. Shipping to back to China is way too pricey for me to even bother attempting.

I had a 336i and couldn't wait to offload it.... these things get WAY too hot for comfort and things like roasting hot power resistors (and I mean almost RED hot) soldered direct onto to capacitors is a recipe for eventual failure.... just look at the scorch marks on the heat sleeving in your picture under the 200R resistors... the 220V transformers get way too hot too and DV should be supplying 230V ones for the UK market IMO. It's just NOT ON that DV should be unhelpful, they sell enough of these amps and after sales support should be there and amps repaired under warranty.... just because they are in China doesn't mean you are stuffed.... point them to this thread, kick up a stink and DEMAND they do something about it!

Yeah, the 336i is a bit of a heater. The 336se was not so hot running due to it using a much better thick aluminium topplate which acts like a heatsink.
As the 3322 uses quite a thick aluminium top plate, it really does not run unreasonably hot.
You're right about the power supplies it would be great if these were supplied in 230v. The the 220v supplies do work OK though on UK voltage and don't buzz or heat up too much.
What really stinks is that DVs communication skills are really terrible. Think Chinese translated though bablefish online translator type bad..
To top it all they have insulted me by accusing me of making the problems up!
For months now I have been trying to reach a solution with them and suggested that they kindly refund £500 in costs for the broken items and incurred losses.
I've already told them that I shall put my experiences of them on my website for all to see if its not dealt with soon. I already have the updated weppages written and ready to FTP accross..
If somethings not done in 7 days, it will go live and their reputation will suffer. I really don't want to do this but am rapidly running out of choices..
Unless they are going to pay the expensive air shipping for the amps, returning them under warranty is not an option.
Amps were brought directly from DV and Boyier (who are one and the same).
