I have decided to start selling interconnects and they will be called "Pink Link" they will feature the same high quality Evolution Pro oxygen free cable I use on my Little Pinkies and will be terminated with Switchcraft pro grade phono connectors. The switchcraft connectors are not your usual run of the mill gold plated jobs, they are nickel plated and extrememly hard wearing.... they feature solid centre signal pins, heavy duty cable clamp and longer handles for improved grip.
I have been using these interconnects for ages on my own equipment and they are consistently good, being both extremely flexible and allowing through maximum sound quality. Constructed to high standards using silver loaded solder.
More on the cable itself: 24AWG OFC XLPE conductors are twisted together with a drain wire and then screened in an aluminium foil for 100% coverage, the foil screen is then bonded to the overall PVC/neoprene jacket for one strip preparation.
Technical specs:
Conductors = 7x 0.20mm 24AWG pure OFC copper Insulation = XLPE cross lined polythene Screen aluminium foil Drain 7x 0.20mm 24AWG pure OFC copper tinned Jacket = matt abrasion resistant PVC/neoprene Temperature range = –25°C to +75°C Capacitance = 90pF/m core-to-core 189pF/m core-to-screen Resistance = 78Ù/km Overall diameter = 3.5mm
These are no bullshit interconnects, they sound fantastic, do what they are supposed to do, are very well made and will last a lifetime... I am so confident on the quality of construction I will offer a lifetime guarantee with them.
Prices will be:
0.5m Length £34 1 metre length £40 Other lengths available on request.
The Pink Link interconnect will be available in either red, blue or black.... full details to appear shortly on the Rock Grotto website.

Hi Mike, I just sent payment via the PayPal donation tab for one 1/2 meter IC in black. I tried to estimate the S&H and figured 30 BP for the 1/2 meter cable and shipping should cover it. Look forward to trying it. Thanks. Will be in the post on Friday Miguel.

fairly priced .. Yes. I buy 500 metre reels of the cable and considerable quantities of phono plugs so can keep the price pretty low.... if I bought the cable by the metre and the phono plugs individually you could probably double the price.

Is it possible to see some pics ? Not sure what colour to "launch".... I have red, blue and black Evolution OFC cable.... I was thinking black would be good with the Nickel phono plugs (the monochrome look) with a coloured band on one of the cables to indicate L/R. Could also have one cable red and the other black, or one cable blue and the other red to indicate L/R.... Choices choices! (sometimes it's better to have just one choice)..... All black with a bit of coloured heatshrink on one of the cables is what I am thinking at the moment but what colour heatshrink? I have blue, grey, yellow, white, red, green, purple and "black".... ;D Miguel, I've sent you 0.4M of blue and red Pictures to appear shortly.

Is it possible to see some pics ? They are pretty basic "looking" cables but sound good and that's what counts: I fit a ferrite bead to the signal wire at both ends of the cable I then pump hot glue into the Switchcraft phono plug to seal the connections Pink Link in black Pink Link in red / blue (red = right, blue = left) These interconnects are pretty much bullet proof and you could swing a cat from them.... this is VERY important to me as I don't know how many interconnects I've had over the years where the connections have come loose.... not so with these

Interesting idea with ferrite beads on a signal path ... I've never saw something like that before, I must admit.

Great looking cables, it is so nice to see a 'homemade' cable without heatshrink. will have to measure up and place an order!
Pinky, i would guess that you could make a cable to an exact measurement? it would make my rack a lot neater....

Hi Andy, Yes, any length I'm waiting for a fresh batch of the Switchcraft phono plugs to come in (will be here in a couple of weeks) but have a few 0.5M lengths in stock at the moment. BTW... the Switchcraft plugs are made in Chicago USA.

here's a set I prepared earlier low noise low capacitance balanced mic cable with string filler ultra flexible ( used unbalanced of course,.. ) braided nylon netting to keep them tidy and they work a treat oh PS they don't cost in excess of UK130pound but work just as well as those up-market interconnects

As my main HiFi is dismantled at the mo I thought I'd show my homemades... I use these for tape decks etc (my fave retail job is Nordost Blue Heaven, used for source direct) as they out-perform retail ones nudging £100, they cost approx £8 to make! Decent quality, "noiseless" microphone cable and reasonably solid plugs.

I use them across my system.

Sol I have already heard of, but not used those plugs. But, they work better if scewed back up properly after having a peek inside. Alex
