My ears have been blocked up, due to a cold, and for the last few days my left ear has been completely blocked up. Ear drops had not been working, so I booked myself in to see the Sister at the local doctors surgery.
Afterwards, the difference was quite amazing, much better then before my ears blocked it seems. I can hear so much more at top end, even the dog walking across the carpet seems to have a little sibilance!
I'm not saying you should have your ears syringed just for music, and there are some apparent dangers if you search the net, but crikey, what a difference!

Yeah I use some drops combined with a squeseball every 6 months, to get rid of wax. I do think that the syringe has a lot more power than my setup, but my pracktice makes the syringe unessesary. Somehow using IEM 8 hours a day makes your ears produce a lot of goo
