Like Mike I find the Russian valves to be very smooth and great sounding, specially the bass. I am using some cans which are know to have a lot of treble energy (Grado, Denon, and Ultrasone) yet I do not hear the harshness. Maybe because I am an old fart and have lost the ability to listen the higher frequencies. Are your interconnects made out of copper? Does your umbilical power cord uses ferrite magnets? Good luck. Same here, out of most of the valves I have tried the Russian's are consistently the overall best performers to my ears. Of course our high frequency capability will be more compromised than Krisno's Miguel.... we are clocking on 50 years old after all ;D did you ever try that iphone hearing test I linked you to? There was a bit of a dip for me in the right ear at higher frequencies (which indicates"mild" loss) but the left ear was well within the "normal" band..... having said that, I "know" my high frequency capabilities are nowhere near as acute as they were 30 or so years ago and I doubt anybody our age can hear high frequencies that a 20 year old can.
