The X-Dac and X-Dac V8 (short-lived!) are in the archived products area. The V3 isn't mentioned either place.
Mind you there are some products both in the 'current' banner at the top and in the archive area!

Ha, ha, the X-Dac V8 is just basically an X-Dac V3 with built in tube buffer, a much beefier PS and a computer audio USB. When you mode the V3 to high specs parts and improved PS plus add in the V3 tube buffer X-10 V3, it should sound as good as the V8. ;D

XTRProf For once I agree with you. Shame that it won't sound as good as it did before the tube buffer though! SandyK

One other feature it has is 4 selectable inputs. I find this a very useful feature in my rack.

SandyK Ha, ha, the X-Dac V3 has the option of just buying the dac without the tube buffer whereas the V8 is just shaft into us and take it or leave it. The tube buffer does have it's advantage though not technically. Obviously, it's subjective just like what you are having for the Bluspec burned CDR vs the red book burned CDR. For the tube buffer, it is more right sounding when compared to LIVE especially when connected to a dac which may be sharp sounding. I have nothing against that just like Miguel or Ricky. Simply, the best sound wins as I'm ZenTech.

But still true! So go and get a tube buffer and place it between your source and your Jaycar Amp. Miguel Like you did ? Alex
