A superbly fine choice! I remember buying the "My Girl" single, still have it in a box....somewhere in the garage. 1979! Although a rocker myself I still couldn't resist the rock steady beat of Madness

Favourite live band from my youth - Ten Years After and "I Maybe Wrong But...", "Good Morning Little Schoolgirl" etc
Alvin Lee not a great singer in my view, but I loved them all the same.

I have just been listening to, and enjoying the video by Aussie girl Havana Brown in "Warrior" She's not exactly hard on the eyes either. www.youtube.com/watch?v=63OdRmba5Xkalso a "Dancing with the stars" performance www.havanabrownmusic.com/2013/11/07/dancing-with-the-stars-performance/It really pisses me off that the local Free To Air TV stations are so reluctant to use their HD transmission capabilities with 5.1 Audio, when they can do so, and most people now have TVs or STBs that are HD capable. They prefer to use the capability to give us additional SD channels with regurgitated stuff from last century for the most part. Even the ABC, our national broadcaster uses their HD channel for 24 hour news. Yes, it looks way better than the news on the other networks' SD channels, but what a waste of HD capabilities. Our FTA stations won't even retransmit some of the excellent U.S.A. late night shows from David Letterman etc. in HD, although they could do so if they wished. Alex

I am presently watching and listening to " Rihanna-Diamonds in the Sky" from SNL (Saturday Night Live) The video is in glorious 1080 high definition. It can also be downloaded to HDD and played in full screen by using Freemake Video Downloader as previously mentioned. It took me less than a minute to DL this HD video clip. The audio isn't too bad either, as it hasn't suffered at the hands of typical recording engineers with their damn OTT compression and limiting. Some of this stuff from SNL , Letterman etc. is well worth saving. There is quite a bit of ambience from the audience with this clip too. It would have been great to hear it as broadcast, (most likely in 5.1 surround) before being dumbed down to AAC 16/44.1 stereo for the mp4 format used by VEVO and Youtube. Special EFX They are definitely at the right end of the jazz-fusion spectrum for me. I always like whatever I hear by them so I really should buy some!

Like that Chris, after listening to a few tracks I realised I've heard some before but never known who was behind the toons.
A band I have posted before, Shinedown, I really liked their "Sound Of Madness" album but thought the follow up "Amaryllis" was a bit lame so looked backwards through the catalogue and found "Us And Them". Rock as apposed to metal, they kick out some really good tracks...

Another great find Alan. One for you to check out - Jenn Bostic a country singer who has a gig in Hull very shortly, must try and get to see her live? This song "Jealuous of the Angels" was written after her father was killed in motorcycling accident when she was ten, an event which had a great influence on her decision to be a musician. The song was released as her debut UK single in dec 2012 and reached number one in the singer songwriter charts.

Two up in one hit!
Firstly I just caught up with the new album from the Ausy prog/metal band Karnivool whom I like a lot, i.e. "Asymmetry". Really liking that!
I wandered off from here to another I'd never heard of before, Rishloo and their album "Feathergun" which I found quite captivating.

I just got "Kasia Lins - Ain't Gonna Wait" and a few other tracks from Linn records. This one is a mix of jazz and R&B - excellent audiophile quality and good material.
