rowuk don't worry I've kinda settled on the MOTU traveller, as much as I would like the RME it's a little too expensive for me ATM. here www.motu.com/products/motuaudio/traveler-mk3now to find some software to generate DD5.1 or better DTS still wouldn't mind knowing what software you using for multitrack mixing?? Just got in from my home villages' feria. We had the "oom cha" band, followed by a latino band doing a mix of high standard covers, both Spanish and English, new and old. e.g. Juanes, the Stones, Quo, Santana etc, an eclectic mix that was a real crowd pleaser. While the wife watches some drivel on tv I've got Freak of Nature (Music for Nations) in the cans

The BEST quality headphone experience EVER (hopefully ) " THE" masters! No doubt about it (IMO) YELLO are the absolute BEST at this type of music.... the godfathers of ELECTRO! I'm seriously creaming my pants thinking about this release..... this is a TRUE moment in history for headphone users. Mike.

Hmmm, on the strength of this thread I dug out my only Yello album (the one with The Race on it) and gave it a fresh listen. Time (a fair few years since last listen) has done it's thing, I really enjoyed it which never did before

I've mentioned this band before but seeing as I've just replaced my old cassette recordings of their albums with the CDs, I thought I'd give them a new mention, especially as the recording quality is definitely above average. CONCEPTION. For a soft introduction listen to SILENT CRYINGReady for something heavier try SOME WOUNDSI just love this band (all gone seperate ways now). A good example of well played rock where the vocalist can actually sing!

My own "best of" early Deep Purple stuff dumped onto CDR, taken from their eponymous, Shades Of.. and Book of Taleisyn. This is before Gillan and Glover, sporting Evans and Simper. Very different but good stuff, Blind belting out at the mo....

BT - This Binary Universe Phil recommended this to me, and it is nothing short if awesome, a more delicate, restrained schpongle (or however you spell it) experience. Phil, sell a kidney at get that Buffalo!
