To pay tribute to an oldie like Dave Brubeck passing, will be playing this Bluray from ............. this Saturday Night Fever. I mean Audio Night Fever and not the sound of Bee Gees. He was still strong and kicking at 81 I think when this video was captured. Only legs no longer could take his heavy weight and he was sitting all the way. Sorry blues and not jazz.

Hi Jeff, Do you have the UNIKO album? I have been slowly working my way through some of their repatoire as I only knew them for odd piece here and there. As I like quartets and chamber music I've investigated further after your post. Of what I've heard thus far UNIKO ( who'd have guessed accordian, which I ususally hate, and electronics could play in harmony with a quartet! ) and Floodplain are very worthwhile and unusual

oops ! I didn't mean my post to read like that Jeff, I was only curious if you had only posted as a new find or if you were already an album owner. Don't worry about DBing it, I will be buying it very soon. Thanks anyway.

My mate told me to listen to Edwina Hayes, so I checked her out on You Tube. She was born in 1973 in Dublin, grew up in Lancashire and now lives just up the road from me in Driffield East Yorkshire. All you Folk lovers may like her?? First song a Richard Thompson cover. second song Froggie. Third song want you to stay 4th son a Leo Sayer cover I can't stop loving you 5th song River

Christopher Cross's self named album from 1979.
New find for me. almost easy listening, but nicely layered music with a warm blend of 70's synth, bass, guitar (he's a very fine player) and 70's obligatory strings.

Argggggghh! Christopher Cross I have a totally unreasonable dislike for this poor guy Ride Like The Wind was a song that my eldest brother played ad infinitum as it was a "Their Song" for him and his wife to be. In fact I think they married that same year, which was good in itself as he moved out with said woman and so did that damn album Anyhoosen, a nice bundle of CDs arrived today including recent recommendations of Kronos, Bellowhead etc. Great stuff

I must admit, I've become a fan of Bellowhead's stuff. Subtle eh? It's so full of enthusiasm and good honest, get in there rough folk. I love it!!

Considering i don`t usually listen to this style of music, makes this statement all the more remarkable !!!. Mick.

Nice find Chris.
I was listening to some older Evanescence and was lead over to the spawn of the personnel split of them, We Are Fallen. If you like one you'll like the other too...

Chris, I didn't even know that Evanescence had split up. We are fallen are very very similar and I like them. The lead singer, former American Idol contestant Carly Smithson does an excellent job and I am going to check out their album Tear the World Down
