J. Dilla's album "Ruff Draft". Right now the instrumental album is playing. The sensation that his album through a CD-player+Amplifier+K500-combo still sounds anything but digital is proof enough the producer knew how to create his own sound.
I am impressed.
P.S. The album with vocals is quite good.

I don't particularly like Atomic kitten but absolutely love that one track. When my daughter was younger she liked them and played them a lot and every time that track came on I just had to stop what I was doing and listen to it  I suppose that is the great beauty of music, you just don't know what you like until you hear it!! |

The cct. diagram is still on my PC, and I gave away both RIAA preamp modules to a couple of local RG members. The phono preamp is not sutable for low output MC cartridges, and uses an earlier version of the front end balancing.Each channel uses an SSM2220 (dual PNP) and a LM394H (high HFE dual NPN) |

"Jazz At The Pawnshop" disc one. I have the 2006 SACDs but even via my simple 16 bit CD-player this music sounds pleasant and 'live'.

I was listening to some of Johnny Lang as posted above, pretty good stuff. I've moved onto the Gillan & Glover album "Accidentally on Purpose" that I mentioned to Ian recently. As he remarked, nicely recorded.  Some good 'ole Gillan humour in the lyrics too; |
