It is my opinion you get more hard information from a pro audio content site (time is money and if you screw up you don't work) than you do from an "audiophile" site where personal prejudices and/or taste or just plain NUTSO IDEAS are so rampant it is hard to separate out the facts that may actually be buried beneath all the bullshit.
when your ass is not on the line it is easy to spout an opinion and proclaim oneself an "expert" but when your livelyhood depends on results bullshit has no place to hide and so is why I try and hang out with pros/semi-pros when it comes to things related to music and haunt to pro sites/read industry magazines when it comes to hardware and/or techniques
